Friday, April 1st is Light it Up Blue Day, which is an internationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging autism awareness. Please wear BLUE on Friday.
All students must go on Spelling City at least twice a week to practice the Spelling and Vocabulary words.
Parents: Please sign and return all quizzes/assessments that are sent home.
Reading
The following topics will be covered in Reading this week:
**A new Reading Log and Packet will be sent home on Monday. It is due on Monday, April 4th.
-Reading Informational Texts.
-Playing a game to practice answering comprehension questions about Informational Texts.
-Informational Text Assessment on Tuesday, 3/29.
-Focusing on Academic Vocabulary found in Informational Text.
-Identifying Cause & Effect.
*Remember to read at home, at least 4 nights a week, and record your reading on your Reading Log. Please try to read some Nonfiction texts at home :)
Writing
The following topics will be covered in Writing this week as we continue with our unit on Informational Writing:
-Beginning to publish our informational text structure slides for our Google Presentations.
-Planning Nonfiction Text Features to include in our Informational Presentations.
-Writing Narratives - Focus on what to include in this type of writing.
-Figurative Language Review.

Science
The following topics will be covered in Science this week, as we continue with our unit on Chemistry:
-Completing a research project about Atoms.

-Chemistry Assessment is on Wednesday, 4/6/16.
-Completing a fun chemistry lab called Colorful Milk!
